Proven Success

Since 1983, thousands of people have enhanced their team skills through the Leadership Challenge. This unique outdoor course puts participants through a series of physical challenges that require them to climb, jump, balance, and use ropes - as well as to think through situations and to develop solutions.

It is all about learning the skills to be a better team member and becoming more confident with the skills you have. It is not a competition with others or a race against the clock, but an opportunity to engage as a team in physical and mental situations.

Through determination and encouragement from others, the Leadership Challenge allows participants to deal with relationships and master their own fears and insecurities. It proves the theory that solutions are more easily reached through teamwork.

A Place for Businesses

The Leadership Challenge was first developed to teach Scouts about character and teamwork, but its scope and flexibility make it extremely effective in promoting the same skills in business and other enterprises.

Because each participant must rely on the team to accomplish each separate task, a sense of camaraderie develops that focuses their competitive energies on the goals of the group rather than the goals of the individual. Overall, the Leadership Challenge provides an opportunity to experience success through individual achievement and group interaction - it encourages TEAMWORK!

A Customized Program

The Camp Frontier Outdoor Learning Center consists of two courses - the Low Course, which focuses on team development, and the High Course, which is geared toward building self-esteem, it is important to realize that those individual skills can only improve the performance of the team. Both courses require clear communication and teamwork, and encourage the following skills:

  • Confidence
  • Togetherness
  • Decision-making
  • Management
  • Self-esteem
  • Communication
  • Mutual trust
  • Problem Solving

The staff of the Leadership Challenge can customize training to meet the specific needs of every organization including the following: half-day, full-day, and overnight sessions; Low Course, High Course, or both; and utilization of our staff capabilities or working in conjunction with your outside consultant/facilitator. No matter what you choose, we promise you will be satisfied.
