The Ecology Area is please to announce that an ongoing study of the herpetological species on Pioneer Scout Reservation has discovered the presence of a Four-toed Salamander Hemidactylum scutatum and eggs. This species is listed as threatened in Ohio. It joins the Northern Copperbellied Watersnake, the Blue Spotted Salaamed, Bobcat, Banding's Turtle, Blanchard's Cricket Frog, and the Osprey as species on the Threatened or Endangered species lists which can be found in the reservation.
