Geocaching at PSR
Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache
hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS
unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the
world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then
use the location coordinates to find the caches.
This course can be completed on foot or on a bike. If completing the course on foot it may take up to the entire day to find all the caches. We recommend packing a lunch to eat on the go so you can keep searching. If completing the course on a bike we recommend a bike-mounted GPS unit.
Note: The Pioneer Scout Reservation Geocaching Program is a private program that is
not published on any website. Only Scouts and Scouters are permitted to participate in
the PSR Geocaching Program.
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PUBLISH PSR GEOCACHE
INFORMATION ON ANY GEOCACHING WEBSITE. WE DO NOT WANT THE
PUBLIC COMING INTO CAMP TO FIND THE CACHES.
